From prehistoric cave dwellings to an 11th century fortress to a medieval castle, the rocky hill of Montfaucon has held significance to the locals along the Rhône River. And the winemaking history—dating back to 1520!—is no less illustrious. Since 1995, current winemaker Rodolphe de Pins has rebuilt the family cellars and restored the prestige of the estate wines. Today, Château Montfaucon makes some of our favorite Rhône wines, from quaffable table wines to old vine Clairette, to bold Lirac blends, to the prestige bottlings that would rival any wine of the neighboring Châteaunneuf-du-Pape. Don't miss this opportunity to meet Rodolphe in person and learn more about his fantastic wines.
