Andre was born in Colombia, South America where he got to experience the very best of farm to table eating. He moved to the United States at the age of sixteen where he started his career in the culinary business. In search of knowledge Andre worked at multiple fine dining restaurants throughout the country, all the way from Alabama to California. At age 25 he got his first Executive Chef title at "Brix wine and tapas" restaurant in Huntsville, AL. Later he started his own catering business specialized in farm dinners where he saw first hand the power of sustainable agriculture and it's impact in the local economy. When he moved to Oregon he began working for Bon Appetit Management Company as Executive Chef for Intel Corporation and he currently works as the Executive Chef at Willamette University in Salem, OR.
